Support & FAQ

Find answers to common questions about ComicFlow

General Questions

What file formats does ComicFlow support?
ComicFlow supports 5 formats: CBR, CBZ, RAR, ZIP, and PDF. You can read all of them directly, convert CBR, CBZ, RAR, and ZIP archives to PDF or CBZ, and with ComicFlow Pro export to EPUB for e-readers.
Do I need to convert files to read them?
No. ComicFlow reads CBR, CBZ, and PDF files directly with a native 60fps reader. Converting to PDF or CBZ is optional if you want to share or use files in other apps.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. ComicFlow works 100% offline. Your files never leave your device. The app doesn't require any internet connection to function.
How much does ComicFlow cost?
ComicFlow is a one-time purchase of $2.99 with no subscriptions and no ads. The full reader, PDF and CBZ conversion, and library manager are included. An optional ComicFlow Pro unlock is a separate one-time purchase of $6.99 that adds EPUB e-reader export, Face ID-locked collections, and reader presets.
What languages is ComicFlow available in?
ComicFlow is available in 8 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese (Brazil).

ComicFlow Pro

What does ComicFlow Pro add?
ComicFlow Pro is an optional one-time $6.99 unlock (not a subscription) that adds three features: EPUB export to e-readers with device profiles for Kobo, Boox, reMarkable, and PocketBook plus e-ink image optimization; Face ID-locked private collections; and saved reader presets for manga, western, and webtoon styles. The base app stays fully featured without it.
Can I send comics to a Kobo, Boox, or reMarkable e-reader?
Yes, with ComicFlow Pro. Export any comic to EPUB tuned for your e-reader, with e-ink image optimization per device. Kindle does not read sideloaded EPUB directly, so ComicFlow points Kindle users to the Calibre conversion route. You can browse device profiles and configure the export for free; the Pro unlock applies at the final export.
How do I lock a collection behind Face ID?
With ComicFlow Pro, turn on the lock toggle when creating or editing a collection. It uses your device's own authentication, Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode, and never stores or sees your biometric data. Locked collections re-lock automatically when you leave the app.
Is ComicFlow Pro a subscription?
No. ComicFlow Pro is a one-time purchase. Buy it once and it is yours forever, including future updates. ComicFlow has no subscriptions anywhere.

Reading & Library

Does ComicFlow support manga (right-to-left reading)?
Yes. Toggle RTL mode in reader settings for proper manga reading order, including a mirrored page scrubber.
Can I organize my comics into collections?
Yes. Create custom collections with icons and colors, add tags, rate comics 1-5 stars, and write personal notes. Smart collections like Favorites, Reading, Unread, and Completed are built in.
Does it save my reading progress?
Yes. ComicFlow automatically remembers your page, reading direction, and fit mode for every file. Use the Continue Reading card to quickly pick up where you left off.

Conversion & Storage

What's the difference between quality settings?
High: Best image quality, larger files. Ideal for high-resolution displays.

Medium (Recommended): Balanced quality and file size, great for everyday reading.

Low: Smaller file size, good for sharing and saving storage.
Where are my converted PDFs saved?
Converted PDFs are saved in ComicFlow's Library tab. You can view them there or share to other apps like Files, Books, or any PDF reader.
How do I delete comics?
In the Library tab, tap the three-dot menu on any comic and select Delete, or swipe left on the comic card to reveal the delete option.
My conversion failed. What should I do?
Ensure your file is a valid CBR, CBZ, RAR, or ZIP archive containing images. Password-protected or corrupted archives may not convert. Try opening the file in another app to verify it's not damaged.
