At Applestan, we believe your privacy is a fundamental right. Our apps are designed with privacy at their core. We don't collect, store, or share your personal data.

Data Collection

Our apps do not collect any personal information. We don't use analytics, tracking, or any form of data collection. What you do in our apps stays on your device.

• No personal data collection
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No third-party data sharing
• No advertising identifiers

One exception, Solspot. It sends anonymous product events and crash reports so we can see which parts get used and what is breaking. Nothing is linked to your identity, no imagery or search text is ever sent, and you can switch it off in the app under Settings, then Privacy. Its own privacy policy spells out exactly what goes out and what never does.

Local Data Storage

Any data created within our apps (such as preferences or saved content) is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Third-Party Services (Apps)

Our apps do not integrate with third-party advertising or tracking services. The only external connection most of our apps may make is to Apple's App Store for purchase verification, which is handled entirely by Apple.

Solspot is the exception noted above. It uses PostHog for anonymous product statistics and crash reports, on servers in the European Union, and that can be switched off inside the app.

Website Cookies & Analytics

While our apps don't collect data, this website (applestan.com) uses cookies for analytics purposes only if you consent.

What we use:

• Google Analytics 4: We use GA4 to understand how visitors use our website (pages visited, time on site, general location by country). This helps us improve our content.

Cookies used:

• _ga: Distinguishes unique visitors (expires: 2 years)
• _ga_*: Maintains session state (expires: 2 years)

Your rights:

• Analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner
• You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer
• If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is collected

Data transfers: Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Children's Privacy

Since we don't collect any data, our apps are safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
