How to peek at your fleet, how two players share one phone, and what to do if something goes wrong

Peeking

Open the iPhone Duo and lay it flat on the table between the two players. Each player has one half. On your turn, fold your half up toward you to peek at your fleet.

We built this with Apple's developer tools and checked it in the iPhone Duo simulator. We have not tried it on a real iPhone Duo yet. If it does not behave as described on your phone, please email us.

Touch and hold the eye button to peek at your fleet. It works the same way on every iPhone that runs iOS 27.

Playing

Choose Two players before the match. A cover screen comes between turns, so you can pass the phone or turn it around and nobody sees the other fleet.

Yes. Choose You vs Captain Rojo to play the computer captain. He plays at three levels: Deckhand, Captain and Admiral.

Drag a ship to move it. Tap a ship to turn it. Tap Shuffle for a random fleet, then tap Ready when you are happy with it.

Take turns to fire at the other player's half of the sea. The first player to sink the whole enemy fleet wins.

Yes. The match saves by itself. Close the app and open it again later to carry on.

Tap the mute button. The sound and music in Peekaboard are original.

The app

No. It works offline, with no Wi-Fi and no account. There are no ads.

An iPhone with iOS 27. On iPhone Duo you can fold to peek. On other iPhones you hold the eye button.

Version 1.0 has one game, Naval Duel. More games for two will come to the table later.

No. Settings and the saved match stay on your iPhone. The privacy policy has the details.
